The rise measures the distance from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband, determining where the jean sits on your torso.

What jean length works best for me? 

The ideal jean length depends on both your height and how you want the style to fall on your leg. Inseam length is measured from the crotch seam to the hem.

"Size 27 ordered 125 lbs and 5’7” they are long, I had to fold them in and stitch them to wear with low heeled boots Sooo flattering , soft, amazing, one of the chains broke after washing but I figured how to re connect. The price is sooo high but I paid over time and don’t regret it. You can dress them up or down, the high waist is so flattering , they are so soft , stretchy, on the thin side but perfect. The skinny flare is amazing. I have only good things to say , if price is too high , buy over time, they are a must have. The pockets in the front add a nice touch and not bulky at all. Stunning pair of jeans !!!!"
