How should a women's t-shirt fit?
"The right fit depends on the style. A classic fitted tee should skim your body without feeling tight, with shoulder seams that align at the edge of your shoulders and sleeves that hit around mid-upper arm. A relaxed or oversized tee will have a looser drape, offering a more casual, laid-back feel.
Length can vary too - some styles are cropped to sit at the waist, while others are designed to fall below the hips for easy tucking or layering.
Because different styles are cut with different fits in mind, we always recommend checking the product details or reaching out if you’re unsure. Feel free to email us at customerservice@veronicabeard.com with the t-shirt name and your usual size in other brands. We're happy to help you find your best fit.
How should a sweater fit a woman?
A great-fitting sweater should feel comfortable while offering a flattering shape. The right fit depends on the style, but in general, the shoulder seams should align with your shoulders, the sleeves should reach your wrists without bunching, and the hem should sit neatly at your waist or hips.
For more tailored or slim-fit styles, the sweater should gently hug your body without pulling across the chest or arms. For relaxed or oversized styles, the fit will be roomier but still proportionate, with clean lines that don’t overwhelm your frame.
Should sweaters be tight or loose?
A sweater can be either tight or loose depending on the style and how you like to wear it. Some sweaters are designed for a closer, more fitted silhouette, while others are meant to have a relaxed or oversized look. A slim-fit sweater should skim the body without feeling restrictive. A looser style should drape comfortably without looking too bulky.
If you're layering over shirts or under jackets, you may want a bit more room. If you're going for a sleeker look, a fitted style might be the way to go.
Should sweaters be washed inside out?
Turning your sweater inside out before washing is a smart way to help preserve the fabric. Washing inside out can reduce friction on the outer surface, which helps prevent pilling and keeps the texture and color looking fresh longer.
This tip is especially useful for sweaters made from delicate yarns or with special finishes. Whether you're hand washing or using a gentle cycle, always check the care label first and use cold water with a mild detergent.
